About the Still Here Project

The Still Here Project is a quiet space
for people who’ve lived through hard things —
addiction, trauma, poverty, grief, instability,
and everything in between.

It was created by someone who’s lived through hard things too —
and knows that surviving doesn’t always feel like a victory.

This isn’t about advice, inspiration,
or pretending things are okay.

It’s about survival —
and the quiet courage it takes
to be honest,
to stay open,
and to keep showing up for one more day.

If you are in crisis or feeling unsafe,
please don’t wait.
Call or text 988 for immediate support.
Free, 24/7, and confidential.

What You’ll Find Here

– Daily reflections — short thoughts on survival
– Short, anonymous stories from people who didn’t give up
– A space to share your own story, if and when you want
– No judgment. No perfection. Just presence

Here, there are two ways to be heard:

1. Send a Private Message
If you need to say something and be heard —
without judgment or solutions —
you can send a private message to a real person.

You’ll receive a personal response.
No advice. No therapy.
Just someone who’s listening.

Your message is confidential.
Nothing will be published.
This is just for you.

2. Share Your Story Publicly
If you’re ready to share your survival story —
even just a glimpse —
you can submit it to be considered for publishing on the site.

Stories can be anonymous or include your name.
Your words won’t be edited,
but not every submission is published.

Some stories are meant to be shared.
Some are meant to be written.
Both are valid.

What this is not:

– Not therapy or mental health treatment
– Not run by professionals
– Not affiliated with any organization, religion, or agenda
– Not collecting your data or selling anything
– Not a crisis service — if you need immediate help, call or text 988

Why It Exists

Because sometimes survival is quiet.
Messy. Invisible.

Because being seen and heard,
without needing to be “fixed”,
matters.

Because someone needs to hear:
I don’t need you to be okay.
I’m just glad you’re still here.

The Still Here Project is a personal offering —
a hobby, not a business.
No one is paid. No one is selling anything.
Just a real attempt to offer something small and human
that might matter to someone, somewhere.

If you’re still here — we see you.
You’re welcome here, exactly as you are.
