Your Survival Story
This is a reflective space, not a crisis resource. If you’re in immediate danger or emotional crisis, please call or text 988.
You don’t have to be okay.
You don’t need a perfect ending.
And you definitely don’t need to explain everything.
If you’ve made it through something hard — even just barely — and want to share a glimpse of that truth, this is a space that will hold it.
Stories can be short or long.
You can use your name, or stay anonymous.
You can write something raw, quiet, messy — just as it is.
All we ask is that it’s real.
You might write about:
- A moment you almost gave up
- Something that helped you survive
- A hard truth you’re still carrying
- A quiet victory no one noticed
- A change you never thought was possible
- Or just what it’s like to keep going — even when nothing looks special on the outside
You don’t need to be dramatic or inspiring.
Even if it feels small, repetitive, or “boring” — it still counts.
That’s what survival often looks like.
If you want to begin with, “There was a time I didn’t think I’d make it…” — that’s more than enough.
Every story will be read with care.
Not all stories will be published, but if yours is, it will appear just as you wrote it.
If it’s shared on the site, we may include a short summary in the story list to help others know what it’s about — but your full story won’t be edited.
Even if this is the only time you ever tell your story—thank you.
You’re still here. That matters
